Student Council of Armenian State University of Economics as student self-governing body was established in 1994.
The Student Council Consists of 6 Department Councils:
- Department of Management
- Department of Finance
- Department of Regulation of Economy and International Economic Relations
- Department of Marketing and Business Organization
- Department of Computer Sciences and Statistics
- Department of Accounting
The ad hoc committees are as follows:
- Academic (former education-methodological) committee
- Committee of External and Internal Affairs (former Committee of Relations with Students and Foreign Relations)
- Committee of Press and Media
- Committee of Culture, Sport and Leisure (former Committee of leisure and entertainment)
- Committee of Organizational Affairs
- «Нар-Хоз» literary and theatrical studio
The Student Council is in close cooperation with the following bodies:
- Armenian National Student Association (ANSA)
- Pan-Armenian Youth Foundation
- .National Youth Council of Armenia
- Student Council of Department of Law,RussianStateUniversityof Trade and Economics
