Chair of History and Political Science of Armenian State University of Economics was established in 1991 on the basis of Chairs of History of SUCP and Scientific Communism.

 The course of the subject is carried for all students of 1^st to 4^th years of 6 departments. During that course students are taught History of Armenia and Political Science.

Scientific-research works have been carried by the Chair. Lecturers of the Chair work on the following topics: “Main Issues of the History of Armenian Genocide and Armenian Issue” and “Armeniaas a Military-Political Factor of the Region of Southern Caucasus”.
