Chair of Foreign Languages of ASUE was established in 1975 with establishment of Yerevan National Institute of Economics.

English, German and French languages are taught by the Chair. The course is carried for both full-time and part-time students of Bachelor’s (1st and 2nd years) and Master’s (1st year) programs. The course helps the students enhance their educational level strengthening professional knowledge.
Since 2011 the Chair has been cooperating with the British Council of Armenia that gives the lecturers opportunity to participate in trainings and disposes methodological literature.
Manuals
The Chair has published 3 trilingual dictionaries of economic terms, several manuals on theory of economics, accountancy and environmental economy, marketing, statistics, insurance, customs, information technologies and management of enterprises, as well as on strengthening of general economic knowledge, business correspondence and area studies.
Researches
Research works are mainly carried in the frames of ‘‘Peculiarities of Foreign Language teaching at an economic universality’’.
In 2010– 2011 besides several articles lecturers of the Chair published six manuals for students investigating different branches of economics.
Preparation works of manuals of management, tourism management, finance, environmental protection, international economic relations are carried.
