The Chair of Banking and Insurance of Armenian State University of Economics was formed on October, 2012 on the basis of reorganization of the Chairs of Financial Markets and Institutions and Corporate Finance. Acting Head of the Chair is Anna Aslanyan.
Before the reorganization the Head of the Chair of Financial Markets and Institutions was Suren Poghosyan, the Head of the Chair of Corporate Finance was Doctor of Economics, Professor Ashot Salnazaryan.
The Chair prepares specialists of Banking, Insurance, Analysis and Management of Securities Market specialties with all forms of education.
The Chair prepares specialists of two specialties implemented with the employers: Organization of Banking and Management of Collective Investment Systems.
